Three is a magic number,
Yes it is, it’s a magic number.
Somewhere in the ancient, mystic trinity
You get three as a magic number.
The past and the present and the future.
Faith and Hope and Charity,
The heart and the brain and the body
Give you three as a magic number.
IF you are at least as old as I am you likely remember watching Saturday morning cartoons and in between episodes of Scooby-Do, or perhaps Super Friends, were those catchy little educational moments by Schoolhouse Rock. Back in the day, Conjunction-Junction and I’m Just a Bill were probably my favorites, but today’s keynote address could have kicked off with Three is a Magic Number.
The Blackboard Corporate keynote address focused on three heavily applauded topics:
- xplor, a learning object repository with seamless LMS integration among multiple platforms
- new teaching efficiencies including improved analytics such as assessment item analysis and a survey tool that will be included without charge
- Bb and social learning that connects students between institutions and follows them as they move between institutions
I cannot wait to share the future of our learning environment with the faculty back home. Thank you Blackboard for thinking of the things we will enjoy using before we even knew we wanted them.
